I learned about Radiolab while on tour with Selfish Whales. I have adored the show ever since, and I believe the following episode is my favorite yet. It's all about how language functions in our brains. They happen to feature Jill Bolte Taylor, someone I'm a fan of. She suffered a stroke at age 37. Being a neuroanatomist, she has a unique perspective on this experience. So, I added a video of her speaking for TED Talks at the bottom of this post. By the way, one of her homes is here in Bloomington. And just for fun I added a video that Radiolab provided as supplemental to their Words episode. It was too pretty to resist. Enjoy!
